Job Summary
This position is responsible for designing and delivering modern cloud infrastructure solutions within AWS and Azure. The ideal candidate has several years' experience working with cloud services building highly available, secure, globally accessible cloud platforms. Candidate must thrive in a fast paced, forward-thinking work environment. Must be fully skilled in all phases of delivery, including requirements gathering, design, development, and testing. Also, candidate must be able to lead other on implementation efforts, encouraging collaboration and teamwork to execute and drive results for CleanSlate clients.
This is a full-time salaried hybrid position located within a 90-mile radius of Carmel, IN with ability to travel up to 10% of time.
As part of the CleanSlate Cloud Practice you will have opportunity to work closely with CleanSlate and Client technical teams to deliver mission critical solutions.
  • Collaborate and provide technical leadership to clients to leverage cloud services within our strategic Enterprise accounts
  • Represent CleanSlate in face-to-face client meetings and drive the overall technical direction for the client
  • Advise and consult on Cloud service implementations and patterns to advance clients in cloud technology adoption for application modernization
  • Maintain client relationships and represent CleanSlate as a thought leader for scalable next-generation cloud applications
  • Design and deploy highly available cloud tenants and implementations utilizing state of the art cloud services
  • Lead implementation team to deliver projects to clients
  • Learn, share knowledge, and mentor other CleanSlate team members on new skills
  • Independently research emerging cloud services and capabilities. Provide insight to clients on the latest cloud architectures, technology, solutions, and industry trends?

What You'll Be Doing
  • Lead a team to design and build modern cloud tenants
  • Work closely with client to understand the business requirements. Drive the analysis and design the technical solutions in compliance with architectural blueprints and technology strategy
  • Build complex architectures to support applications
  • Embrace agile delivery processes and influence adoption of Infrastructure as Code (IaC). Utilize coding techniques and tooling (such as Terraform) to ensure state is consistent
  • Ensure DevOps methodologies and automation are leveraged as required by project and/or client
  • Advise on infrastructure architecture, ensuring cloud infrastructure meet needs of application
  • Interact with clients during presales or consultancy roles, including interactions with senior level client personnel
  • Provide input and estimates to create proposals

Requirements
  • 3-5 years of experience working with cloud-based and infrastructure platforms
  • 3+ years of experience in the overall design and implementation of cloud-based solutions
  • 2 years of experience implementing AWS and/or Azure cloud solutions
  • 2 years of experience designing and documenting cloud architectures
  • 2 years of experience with IaC implementations
  • Experience in facilitating design and working sessions with clients and technical teams
  • Demonstrated experience designing and implementing Identity and Access Management as well as security architecture and best practices meeting industry compliance requirements
  • Hands on experience with cloud compute, storage, and network services
  • Hands on experience with containerization and container orchestration
  • Hands on experience managing, operating, and troubleshooting cloud services
  • Hands on experience planning and migrating workloads to cloud platforms
  • Strong oral and written communication skills interacting with a variety of audiences (Architects and technical implementers, and developers)
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications
  • Completed AWS or Azure certifications or willingness to acquire them
  • Experience with the AWS and Azure Well-Architected Framework
  • Experience with Cloud networking including protocols (TCP/IP), security (VPN, Firewalls, etc.) and routing (DNS, Load Balancers, etc.)
  • Experience with AWS CloudFormation, Amazon CDK, Azure Resource Manager (ARM) or Terraform with an understanding of Infrastructure as Code
  • Experience with Python, PHP, JavaScript, Java, C# or other languages used for automation or shell scripting
  • Experience with DevOps tooling, like Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions or Ansible
  • Exposure to Cloud governance platforms like CloudCheckr, CloudHealth, Conformity, etc.
  • Exposure to Cloud cost optimization strategies and analytic tools to make savings recommendations
