Job Description

Senior IT Product Manager - Cell Therapy Digital Products

This is a position in the Kite IT Cell Therapy function and will report to the Associate Director, Kite Konnect and Supply Chain IT Products. The team supports Kite Konnect digital products across Commercial, Clinical and Technical Operations and is comprised of functional disciplines around product management, technical architecture, operational excellence and agile delivery. Our team is seeking a proven leader with extensive product management and Salesforce experience to manage product evolution and delivery against a long-term product strategy and roadmap working across a highly-matrixed cross-functional environment.

This role will be initially based in Santa Monica, CA and is expected to move to El Segundo, CA in 2027.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner closely with business stakeholders and end-user groups to drive all aspects of the product from discovery to delivery, to end user adoption and ultimately to business value.

  • Design and deliver new features that add value to the customer experience, improve product usage, and enable scalability to support business growth.

  • Develop a deep understanding of Kite's business goals and how we can impact those through evolution of our global Kite Konnect digital products. Products include patient enrollment and cell order submission, aphaeresis collection, supply chain orchestration and case management.

  • Lead the delivery of prioritized product initiatives across global, cross-functional teams and partners, ensuring high-quality and predictable outcomes at scale.

  • Champion the voice of customer. Ensure impact and value are incorporated into requirements, design and delivery plans.

  • Drive data-informed prioritization by leveraging product metrics, user insights, and analytics to shape and evolve the product roadmap.

  • Own the technology point of view for the product, from managing technical debt to leveraging third party partner integrations in the ecosystem.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally. Our IT Product Managers play a critical role in creating alignment between engineering teams and business partners.

  • Influence and embed a product operating model and thoughtfully adjust progression towards maturity and best practices.

  • Build strategic relationships with delivery and service partners.

  • Experience with modern software development tools and methodologies (e.g. Agile, Jira, DevOps).

  • Review and approve system documentation, operational procedures and product user guides.

  • Gather on-going feedback from end-users and business stakeholders for continuous product improvement and collaborate with the wider product team to incorporate this into product roadmaps.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree and Eight Years' Experience

OR

Masters' Degree and Six Years' Experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Salesforce products such as Life Sciences Cloud, Health Cloud, and Experience Cloud.

  • Proven track record of building and scaling end-to-end digital products that deliver measurable customer and business value.

  • Experience in managing and delivering the implementation of complex technology solutions.

  • Experience with bringing digital products to market with demonstrated successful and impactful deployments.

  • Ability to lead multiple complex initiatives in parallel, ensuring prioritisation, predictability, and consistent delivery against business outcomes.

  • Proven success leading global delivery partners to drive performance, accountability and quality outcomes.

  • Experience within a high-growth Commercial Biotech / Pharmaceutical organization is preferable, as is operating in regulated environments.

  • Experience of Computer Systems Validation and the delivery of GxP projects.

  • Experience in effectively managing a global and geographically distributed product team.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to think strategically and creatively.

  • Independent, self-motivated, proactive and responsive with a bias for action and results.

  • High level of personal integrity consistent with Kite and Gilead's core values.

The salary range for this position is: $153,935.00 - $199,210.00. Kite considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives (eligibility may vary based on role), paid time off, and a benefits package.
