About This Role
We are seeking a Sr Manager, Product Analytics to lead a high-impact team of data scientists and data engineers that drive actionable insights across product, customer, and business domains. Product Analytics owns the development of data strategy and performance metrics that guide decision-making across the smart home ecosystem. This leader will partner closely with senior stakeholders to shape product roadmaps, scale analytics infrastructure, and champion a data-first culture.
  • Team Leadership - Manage, mentor, and grow a hybrid high-performing team of data scientists, analysts, and engineers. Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and innovative culture. Prioritize resources and remove blockers.
  • Strategic Analytics & Metrics Ownership - Define, track, and own key product and customer experience metrics across the smart home lifecycle.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration & Influence - Partner with Product, Design, and Engineering to align analytics with business priorities. Engage executive stakeholders and external business units to clearly define requirements, set expectations, and influence strategic decisions through data.
  • AI/ML Enablement & Data Flywheel - Define and prioritize data instrumentation strategies to enable actionable behavioral and device data capture to close the feedback loop for product refinement.
  • Analytics Infrastructure - Oversee scalable analytics architecture, dashboards, and internal tooling to democratize insights.
  • Data Governance & Privacy - Ensure data quality, consistency, and governance across teams and platforms.

Required Qualifications
  • Education - Master's degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Data Science, Business Analytics, Computer Science, Engineering, or MBA with strong analytics focus).
  • Experience -
    • 7+ years in analytics or data science roles, with 2+ years in a leadership or managerial capacity.
    • Proven experience in product analytics, customer segmentation, and experimentation.
  • Technical Skills -
    • Proficiency in SQL, Python, R.
    • Proficiency in database technologies (e.g., BigQuery, MongoDB, Postgres, Firestore, Redis, Spanner)
    • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Mixpanel, Elastic).
    • Familiarity with cloud (e.g., AWS, GCP) and big data platforms/tools (e.g., Databricks, Hadoop).
    • Experimentation design (e.g., A/B testing, Multivariate Testing (MVT), Cohort Analysis).
  • Business Acumen -
    • Strong understanding of product lifecycle, customer journey, and business KPIs.
    • Ability to influence product and business strategy through data.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in the IoT or smart home industry.
  • Graph database technologies (e.g., Neo4j)
  • Time-series database technologies (e.g., InfluxDB)
  • Background in ML products (e.g., LLM, AI Agents, Vision, etc)
  • Experience with mobile app analytics and tools.
  • Familiarity with causal inference techniques (e.g., DiD, PSM, Synthetic Control).
  • Track record of cost reduction or revenue growth through data initiatives.
  • Data monitoring (e.g., Data lineage, Data quality, Security, Statistical Process Control (SPC))
