Ready to Build More Than Processes?

Maybe you're the person everyone relies on to keep things organized.

You love solving problems, improving systems, and helping teams succeed behind the scenes.

But you're looking for more than another operations job.

You want to learn directly from a successful founder.

You want real responsibility.

You want to help build something from the ground up.

If you're coachable, driven, and excited by the idea of becoming an operational leader, we'd love to meet you.

Welcome to Small Biz Heroes

At Small Biz Heroes, we're on a mission to help entrepreneurs win.

We help small business owners access honest guidance, responsible capital, and funding solutions that move their businesses forward. Every conversation is an opportunity to build trust, solve problems, and make a lasting impact.

While our sales team serves clients directly, our Operations Team ensures every deal is executed with excellence. It's the engine behind everything we do and we're looking for someone who wants to help build it.

Why Join Small Biz Heroes?

This isn't a back-office administrative position.

It's an opportunity to work directly alongside our CEO, learning how a high-growth financial services company operates from the inside out.

You'll receive hands-on mentorship in underwriting, deal structuring, lender relationships, operational leadership, and process improvement while helping build the systems that support our continued growth.

If your long-term goal is to lead people, improve operations, and build something meaningful, this role was designed with that future in mind.

What You Will Do

As our Operations Manager, you'll help ensure every client experience runs smoothly from submission to funding.

You'll:

  • Support underwriting and deal structuring alongside the CEO.
  • Coordinate funding pipelines and lender communications.
  • Improve operational workflows and standard operating procedures.
  • Monitor Salesforce, reporting, and operational data accuracy.
  • Lead daily operational rhythms and support team accountability.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Processing, and Leadership to deliver exceptional client experiences.
You'll Thrive Here If You...
  • Enjoy creating structure, improving processes, and solving problems.
  • Are highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Love learning and welcome coaching.
  • Communicate professionally with teammates, lenders, and business owners.
  • Take ownership and follow through on commitments.
  • Want to build a long-term leadership career-not simply manage tasks.

Experience in operations, underwriting, lending, financial services, or business administration is helpful, but character, work ethic, and coachability matter most.

Your Career Path...

We're building leaders-not just operations professionals.

This role offers a clear path toward. Your growth could include opportunities as: Senior Operations Manager Director of Operations.

As Small Biz Heroes grows, so will your opportunity to lead. We promote from within and invest in people who are committed to growing alongside the company.

Compensation & Benefits
  • $60,000 annual base salary
  • Performance bonuses tied to funded production and operational success
  • Health, Dental & Vision Insurance
  • 401(k)
  • 20 Days Paid Time Off
  • Direct CEO mentorship and leadership development
  • Modern Charlotte office near Bank of America Stadium
  • Best-in-class CRM, automation, and operational technology
  • Free parking, snacks, beverages, and a collaborative team environment
