What You’ll Do

The DGA Operations Department is seeking an individual to fill the role of a part-time Theater Manager. This applicant should have strong communication and interpersonal skills. The applicant will join a team of Theater Managers responsible for the management of one of the most prominent private screening event facilities in Manhattan. This candidate will be responsible for acting as a liaison with studio/distributor contracts, catering companies, security vendors and theater patrons. This role is onsite only at the New York headquarters.



Essential duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide the highest level of customer service to all DGA members, patrons, vendors, and colleagues.
  • Facilitate and support a variety of internal meetings and event rentals from small committee meetings to large screenings and receptions.
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of DGA management, DGA office staff, theater projection staff, janitorial staff, and building supervisor.
  • Assist in the setup, execution, and strike of assigned DGA meetings and/or events rentals.
  • The ideal candidate will also stand for long periods of time and will be expected to work well in a team environment.
  • Some lifting will be required.
  • Supervise areas.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • A background in theater operations, facility management, and/or security is preferred.
  • Must be available to work varied hours, including weeknights and weekends.
  • Professional appearance is essential.
  • Comply with strict business ethics guidelines.
  • Estimated 15-25 hrs./wk.
