Job description

Job Title: Event Supervisor

Department: Direct to Consumer

Reports to: Direct to Consumer Operations Manager

FLSA Status: Non-exempt

 


Summary: Reporting to the DTC Operations Manager, this position is responsible for maintaining, executing, and expanding our event portfolio and coordinating event logistics. Acting as an ambassador for all wine club activities and events, providing exceptional customer service in a consistent, timely and professional manner with all customers, vendors, and partners. Will develop, plan, and execute wine club, marketing related events and venue rentals. As well as assisting in driving the growth of the wine club and direct sales businesses.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Plan, coordinate and attend all on and off-site events in conjunction with DTC team
  • Develop, plan, schedule, negotiate vendors, obtain required permits, advertise, and execute Wine Club and non-Wine Club related events, provide post event recaps
  • Coordinate vendor payments with accounts payable
  • Set-up and manage event tickets inventory and sales
  • Manage budgetary restraints and needs for all events
  • Seeking new business for social and corporate venue rentals for all facilities
  • Coordinate scheduling and event needs with landscaping, safety personnel and all other support staff
  • Provide support for all DTC promotions
  • Coordinate CRM database with membership application data entry, welcome communications, and membership mailings for new wine club members
  • In conjunction with the shipping team, research and resolve routine customer service inquiries or problems
  • Assist with future and current programs by defining the structure, products, offers, and memberships as well as building wine club loyalty and minimizing attrition
  • Support all DTC initiatives with project management, inventory logistics and customer service
  • Provide front line customer service to wine club members, e-commerce, and direct sales customers by generating and responding to in-bound phone calls and e-mails related to sales offers, general customer inquiries, event reservations and direct shipment orders 
  • Acquire skillful knowledge of our POS and CRM systems to accurately handle purchases, to include operating cash register and accounting of daily sales, discounts etc. 
  • Acquire and maintain thorough knowledge of Michael David Winery to promote our story, unique processes, each of our brands and the value positioning of our wines. To educate guests about our wines, winemaking techniques, and winery history, effectively answering visitors' questions
  • Seeking out new ways to engage customers onsite and offsite
  • Generate departmental metric reports as requested
  • Respond promptly to customers, inquiries, special requests, orders, and cancellations via email or telephone
  • Proactively execute club revenue opportunities
  • Ensure legal shipping compliance regulations are followed on all wine clubs, direct sales and internet orders

Full Time 40 hours per week, weekends and evenings when needed
