Job description

MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented FACILITIES TECHNICIAN to join our team in QUANTICO, VA. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: * Assisting the team in troubleshooting and submitting maintenance requests for mechanical and electrical equipment, ensuring all facility support systems function correctly. * Operating the Building Automation System (BAS) under supervision, monitoring the system daily for faults, and reporting issues to the team lead. * Escorting and monitoring specialized vendors on-site to ensure their work meets quality and safety standards.
* Participating in an on-call rotation to provide support during after-hours facility emergencies, maintaining 100% uptime for critical systems. * Assisting in planning and carrying out routine building and equipment inspections, supporting preventative maintenance tasks, and minor building projects. * Following all health, safety, and environmental procedures for mechanical spaces and the data center. * Performing basic warehouse duties, including receiving and organizing maintenance materials and supplies, and keeping the team informed of progress. Minimum Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree and at least 2 years of experience in a relevant field (commercial HVAC, electrical trades, or power generation) or at least 8 years' experience without a degree. * Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage assigned tasks effectively.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills to keep the team informed.
* Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel. * Ability to learn and adhere to health, safety, and environmental procedures for critical infrastructure spaces. Preferred Qualifications: * Possession of a State/Local Boiler Operator License or Data Center Operations certifications. * 2+ years of experience working directly with critical infrastructure, including data centers, heavy HVAC, and generator/UPS backups.
* Prior military experience in infrastructure or engineering fields, such as Navy Machinist's Mate, Seabees, Air Force Civil Engineering, or Marine Corps equipment mechanics. Clearance Requirements: * Must have an active and current TS/SCI security clearance. Physical Requirements: * Must be able and willing to perform occasional manual labor and warehouse duties, with the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
* Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
