Archer Mechanical produces a higher-value product cost-effectively and efficiently using progressive construction planning technologies, advanced construction materials, and manufacturing methods, reducing safety risks, schedule durations, and congestion on the job site while enhancing the construction results. _
We are looking for a Lead BIM Modeler with the experience and vision to drive our modeling standards and mentor our growing team. At Archer Mechanical, we don't just "model" - we build.
As a lead you will be the cornerstone of our BIM Department, ensuring that engineering notes and mechanical specifications are translate into seamless digital workflows that feed directly into our fabrication shop.
See it Built: You will oversee models that drive our robotic welders and Trimble Stations. You'll be responsible for ensuring work moves accurately from the digital space to our shop floor and onto Utah's most iconic jobsites.
Complex Challenges: You will take the lead on high-stakes projects, from complex healthcare campuses to high-rise commercial developments, solving the most difficult coordination puzzles.

This is a full-time, in person role at our Salt Lake City headquarters. If you are not in the SLC area, this role would require you to relocate to Utah.
_This position is expected to report in person full time at our location in Salt Lake City. There is potential for a hybrid schedule once tenure and performance benchmarks have been established._
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Take ownership: Be self motivated and take high-level ownership of project schedules and assigned tasks.
Technical Excellence: Create and oversee the production of installable, detailed mechanical piping and plumbing drawings based on specifications and engineering notes.
Shop Integration: Prepare and modify contract plan drawings and sketches to create shop drawings for contractor approval and fabrication use.
Quality Assurance: Lead quality control checks on all department drawings to ensure accuracy and constructability.
Advanced Modeling: Utilize Revit to layout complex drawings, diagrams, schedules, and schematics.
Field Coordination: Oversee the creation of points for our Trimble robotic stations to ensure precise field installation.
Data Management: Organize and maintain digital files and project documentation standards.
BIM Coordination: Expertly utilize Revit, Bluebeam, and Navisworks for advanced BIM coordination.
Professionalism: Communicate professionally with owners, contractors, and internal teams to represent the BIM department.
Critical Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years experience working with Revit or CAD models specifically in Mechanical Plumbing and HVAC.
Intimate knowledge of Mechanical & Plumbing systems - And the ability to visualize piping and plumbing systems in 3D.
Fluent with Revit & Navisworks for BIM Coordination and shop drawings.
Strong proficiency with Bluebeam.
Ability to understand construction plans, specifications, and documentations including plans, & submittals.
Positive, team oriented communication skills with a detail-oriented and adaptable mindset.
Deep knowledge of VDC workflows.
Preferential Qualifications:
Experience in a fabrication shop or field installation for mechanical plumbing.
Expertise in LOD requirements and modeling specifically for constructability.
Pay: $65,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
