Job description

BCBA Onboarding and Credentialing Coordinator
In-Office / Corporate Office
About the Role
Butterfly Effects is hiring a BCBA Onboarding and Credentialing Coordinator to manage the critical window between a BCBA accepting an offer and being ready to see clients. This role owns the BCBA onboarding experience and front-end of the credentialing process: collecting documentation, verifying accuracy, and preparing complete packages for submission.
The person in this role creates an exceptional onboarding experience, keeping new BCBAs moving smoothly through the process with clear and consistent communication. They catch missing paperwork before it becomes a delay, keeping multiple hires on track at once.
What You Will Do
  • Own onboarding and front-end credentialing for each newly hired BCBA, from offer acceptance to a completed, submitted credentialing package.
  • Serve as the new hire's main point of contact for required documents, forms, licenses, and certifications.
  • Collect and verify BCBA certification, state licenses, NPI information, education history, employment history, malpractice insurance, and identification.
  • Review every submission for completeness and accuracy, and follow up directly when something is missing, expired, or unclear.
  • Track outstanding requirements for every active hire and keep timelines on schedule.
  • Flag delays and discrepancies early, and escalate anything that puts a start date at risk.
  • Hand off completed credentialing packages to the Credentialing team, cleanly and on time.
  • Recommend improvements to checklists, trackers, and templates as patterns emerge.
What Success Looks Like
  • New BCBAs know exactly what they need to submit and by when.
  • Nothing sits incomplete without a follow-up already in motion.
  • Internal partners always know where each hire stands, without having to ask.
  • Credentialing packages move through the process with no rework.
What You Bring
  • 2+ years in healthcare administration, credentialing, provider enrollment, onboarding, recruiting coordination, or HR.
  • Exceptional organization and follow-through with a high volume of documents and deadlines.
  • Comfort communicating directly with candidates and internal teams alike.
  • Sound judgment handling confidential employee and provider information.
  • Working proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace; experience with an HRIS, ATS, or credentialing platform is a plus.
  • Experience with BCBA or ABA credentialing, or with licensed healthcare providers generally, is a plus.
