DMBA (Deseret Mutual Benefit Administrators) is a non-profit organization that administers benefits for companies who are owned or affiliated with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

We are seeking an Appian Software Engineer to join our Platforms team. You'll build and enhance secure enterprise applications that support healthcare administration, business operations, and process automation.

Our engineers work closely with business partners and technical teams to deliver solutions that improve efficiency, automate complex workflows, and create exceptional user experiences. Projects range from participant-facing applications to enterprise-scale business processes used across the organization.

What You'll Do

  • Design, develop, test, and deploy applications using Appian and related technologies.
  • Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
  • Integrate applications with APIs, databases, and enterprise systems.
  • Troubleshoot, enhance, and support existing applications.
  • Participate in design reviews, testing, and deployment activities.
  • Use an AI-first mentality to utilize Appian and other AI tools to optimize output.
  • Collaborate with fellow engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2-5 years of software development experience.
  • Experience with Appian or another low-code platform such as Pega, Salesforce, ServiceNow, Power Platform, or K2.
  • Strong understanding of software development fundamentals and object-oriented programming.
  • Experience working with relational databases and SQL.
  • Experience integrating applications using REST APIs.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Appian Associate Developer Certification.
  • Experience with Agile development practices.
  • Experience with application deployment and support in enterprise environments.
  • Experience in healthcare, insurance, or financial services.
