At WHOOP, we're on a mission to unlock human performance and healthspan. WHOOP empowers members to perform at their peak through data-driven insights, premium hardware, and high-quality accessories and apparel designed to integrate seamlessly into daily life.
WHOOP is hiring a CMF Designer II (Accessories & Apparel) to help shape and scale the visual design of WHOOP bands & accessories. Reporting to the Associate Creative Director, Accessories & Apparel, you will be focused on developing elevated material and color strategies, premium surface treatments, and high-quality, site-ready product renderings used across WHOOP digital experiences. You will play a key role in elevating the visual expression of the product while refining the processes that ensure consistency across product lines, partnering cross-functionally to deliver thoughtful, well-crafted design from concept through production.
Responsibilities:
  • Execute CMF (Color, Material, Finish) design across WHOOP bands and accessories, defining color, material, finish, and surface treatments that align with the brand and product vision
  • Drive seasonal creative exploration through trend forecasting, mood boards, color direction, and storytelling, helping define the aesthetic vision for WHOOP accessories and future product expressions
  • Create surface treatments, patterns, textures, and design details that elevate product and support seasonal storytelling
  • Produce high-quality product renderings for packaging as well as shop.whoop.com, ensuring exceptional accuracy in materials, finishes, color accuracy, and detail
  • Partner with Creative Direction and Design, Industrial Design, Engineering, Development, and Supply Chain to translate CMF intent into production-ready specifications while ensuring design vision is maintained through manufacturing
  • Build and maintain CMF systems, including color standards, lab dip tracking, material libraries, presentation assets, and design documentation to support efficient product development and cross-functional collaboration
  • Manage and organize design files, rendering assets, and CMF documentation to ensure consistency, accessibility, and continuity across product lines

Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of experience in CMF design, product design, or surface design within consumer products or wearables
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating product-focused design work, including graphic design, pattern, color, and rendering capabilities
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop) and rendering tools such as KeyShot, Blender, or similar
  • Experience creating high-quality product renderings with strong attention to detail, lighting, and material accuracy
  • Familiarity with color, materials, and production processes for physical products
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally and incorporating feedback from design, product, and engineering partners
  • Systems-oriented mindset with an interest in improving processes and creating structure
  • Strong commitment to embracing and leveraging AI tools in day-to-day tasks, ensuring AI-assisted work aligns with the same high-quality standards as personal contributions.

At WHOOP, we view total compensation as the combination of base salary, equity, and benefits, with equity serving as a key differentiator that aligns our employees with the long-term success of the company and allows every member of our corporate team to own part of WHOOP and share in the company's long-term growth and success.
The U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is $80,000 - $110,000. Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within each range, individual pay is based on factors such as job-related skills, experience, performance, and relevant education or training.
In addition to the base salary, the successful candidate will also receive benefits and a generous equity package.
These ranges may be modified in the future to reflect evolving market conditions and organizational needs. While most offers will typically fall toward the starting point of the range, total compensation will depend on the candidate's specific qualifications, expertise, and alignment with the role's requirements.
