The EMS Team Coordinator serves as an active member of the 911 service, taking pre-hospital 911 medical calls through Franciscan Health. The EMS Team Coordinator, also, acts as the shift supervisor, monitoring all activities for a particular shift.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
  • Act as Incident Command on large-scale incidents.
  • Manage the performance of staff, investigate complaints, and follow a progressive discipline process, as required in conjunction with the Human Resources Department.
  • Supervise staff within the unit, and manage the performance of individuals, conducting regular staff evaluations, through ongoing coaching, feedback, and development to motivate, engage, and drive a high performing team.
  • Conduct training for new hires utilizing the training curriculum consistent with the regulatory guidance, Code requirements, and other applicable codes, laws, regulations, and internal policies and procedures.
  • Monitor shift coverage, supplies, and pre-hospital care reports.
  • Act as Incident Command on large-scale incidents.
  • Perform the duties of an EMT/Paramedic.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Preferred Certificate Paramedic
  • Required High School Diploma/GED
  • 5 years EMT or Paramedic experience. Required
  • 1 year Ambulance experience Required
  • Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - American Heart Association
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) - American Heart Association
  • Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) - National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT)
  • Paramedic (PARA) - State Licensing Board
