Key job responsibilities
- Lead and develop a talented team of engineers, providing mentorship, career growth opportunities, and ensuring professional development to build a high-performing organization through effective hiring, retention, and performance management
- Define and execute strategic roadmaps by working backwards from customer problems, owning team charter, vision, and long-term architectural decisions that influence organizational goals
- Drive the architecture, design, implementation, and operational support of critical security tools and services, evaluating complex business and technical requirements while communicating risks and solutions to stakeholders
- Partner with engineering, science, and security teams to build relevant technology solutions, managing cross-team collaboration and establishing high standards for processes and execution
- Review and prioritize operational and customer issues, creating mechanisms to scale delivery while maintaining ownership of software quality aligned with Amazon's engineering best practices
