Amazon Leo for Government - US & Internal Events Programs Manager Position
The US & Internal Events Programs Manager at Amazon Leo for Government (ALG) will support the Global Events team in executing high-impact government and internal events across the U.S. portfolio. This role is responsible for driving operational excellence, stakeholder coordination, event logistics, and process execution to deliver seamless customer and employee experiences while supporting broader business development and marketing objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Event Program Execution
• Support the planning and execution of Tier 1 and Tier 2 tradeshows, conferences, executive engagements, internal events, and marketing activations across the U.S. and internal events portfolio.
• Coordinate logistics including registration management, meeting support, vendor management, shipping, booth operations, on-site event execution and other related duties as needed.
Workflow & Process Management
• Partner with Leo Global Events leadership, Procurement, Legal, and Finance stakeholders to streamline operational workflows and ensure timely processing of contracts, purchase requests, purchase orders, invoices, and related documentation.
• Identify process gaps and drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency, scalability, and operational consistency across events programs.
Cross-Functional Coordination
• Collaborate closely with Business Development (BD), Marketing, Sales, PR, Product, Communications, and external partners to support event objectives, product launches, customer engagement initiatives, and integrated marketing programs.
• Ensure alignment across internal stakeholders while maintaining clear communication on timelines, deliverables, and event milestones.
Meeting & Resource Management
• Own meeting room scheduling and resource coordination for Tier 1 and Tier 2 events utilizing Jifflenow and other scheduling platforms.
• Coordinate internal and external meeting requests, stakeholder approvals, room allocations, and executive scheduling to optimize customer engagement opportunities.
Calendar & Milestone Tracking
• Maintain detailed event calendars, workback schedules, project trackers, and operational timelines to ensure on-time delivery of critical milestones and deliverables.
• Proactively identify risks, blockers, or competing priorities and escalate appropriately to maintain execution continuity.
Content & Asset Management
Maintain centralized repositories of event schedules, marketing assets, presentations, collateral, attendee lists, and supporting documentation to ensure information accuracy and accessibility across teams.
Reporting & Business Insights
• Generate recurring reports, dashboards, and operational insights to support leadership visibility, event performance tracking, budget management, and strategic decision-making.
• Support lead tracking, meeting metrics, and post-event reporting activities in partnership with BD and Marketing teams.
Vendor & Stakeholder Management
• Coordinate with external vendors, venues, agencies, and internal stakeholders to ensure successful event execution and customer experience delivery.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships across cross-functional teams and external partners.
Customer Obsession
Deliver a customer-obsessed experience by anticipating stakeholder needs, proactively resolving issues, and ensuring high-quality engagement experiences for both internal and external customers.
Problem Solving & Operational Excellence
Demonstrate sound judgment in resolving operational challenges, balancing competing priorities, and driving solutions in fast-paced environments with minimal oversight.
Basic Qualifications
• 5+ in event coordination, project management, executive support, marketing operations, or related fields.
• Experience managing complex calendars, scheduling logistics, and coordinating across multiple time zones.
• Experience supporting contracts, purchase orders, invoice processing, budgeting, reporting, and operational workflows.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with vendors, customers, and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and OneNote.
• Ability to travel domestically to support on-site event execution as needed (approx. 20%).
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications
• 5+ years supporting corporate marketing, events, or programs within a highly matrixed organization.
• Experience supporting large-scale tradeshows, conferences, or executive engagement programs (1,000++ attendees).
• Familiarity with event technology platforms such as Jifflenow, Salesforce, Cvent, or similar tools.
• Strong analytical and process optimization capabilities with a data-driven mindset.
• Experience creating or coordinating event collateral using Canva or Adobe Creative Suite.
• Experience supporting lead generation, customer engagement tracking, and post-event reporting.
• Experience providing direct support to senior executives and managing high-priority requests with discretion and professionalism.
• Demonstrated ability to operate independently, prioritize effectively, and deliver results under tight deadlines.

- Experience working with multiple stakeholders at various levels and in different locales to drive alignment
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience using data and metrics to measure impact and determine improvements
- Experience with CRM tools and systems that can be leveraged to drive customer engagement - including but not limited to Adobe, Salesforce, Unica, Marketo, Exact Target, Braze, etc.
- Experience building, executing and scaling digital programmatic campaigns from concept to completion

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
