Job Title: Business Analyst – Capital Markets
Location: Charlotte, NC (onsite)
Duration: 12 months
Position Type: W2 contract

Job Requirement:

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with deep expertise in Capital Markets to join our dynamic team.
The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between business stakeholders and technology teams, focusing on trading systems, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
You will work closely with traders, quants, and IT to define requirements, optimize workflows, and drive strategic initiatives in a fast-paced financial environment.
Duties:
  • Gather and document business requirements for trading platforms (e.g., Murex, Calypso, Bloomberg AIM), risk systems, and post-trade processing.

  • Analyze and optimize front-to-back office workflows (trade capture, settlement, reconciliation).

  • Collaborate with quants and developers to translate trading strategies into functional specifications.

  • Support regulatory reporting initiatives (Basel III, MiFID II, Dodd-Frank) and compliance audits.

  • Conduct data analysis to identify market trends, trading inefficiencies, and risk exposures.

  • Define user stories and workflows for algorithmic trading, derivatives pricing, and portfolio management.

  • Facilitate workshops with traders, risk managers, and IT to prioritize enhancements and resolve pain points.

9+ years as a Business Analyst in Capital Markets (investment banking, asset management, or hedge funds).
  • Strong knowledge of trading products (Equities, Fixed Income, FX, Derivatives).

  • Experience with trade lifecycle (execution, clearing, settlement, collateral management).

  • Proficiency in SQL, Excel (VLOOKUP/PivotTables), and data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI).

  • Familiarity with market data feeds (FIX Protocol, Bloomberg, Refinitiv)
