Senior Accounting Manager, Accounting & Finance Department

As a Senor Accounting Manager, your duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Oversight of a team of individuals who ensure transactions are recorded in accordance with GAAP and applicable accounting policies
  • Directly supervise and develop team members through coaching, performance management, workload prioritization, goal setting, and ongoing feedback
  • Identification and management of process improvement initiatives including leveraging emerging AI technologies
  • Business thought leader drawing the correlation between results and operational processes
  • Lead and/or act as a subject matter expert in accounting systems (S4 Hana Public Cloud & Blackline)
  • Review account reconciliations for completeness and accuracy
  • Analyze fluctuations in balances over multiple time periods, providing commentary with applicable support
  • Coordinate account reconciliation summaries for presentation to management
  • Partner with technical accounting group to ensure processes are updated to reflect changes in policy
  • Prepare footnote disclosures in accordance with GAAP where applicable
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal and external partners
  • Assist in coordination of annual audits, quarterly reviews and ad-hoc reviews as necessary

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with a major in Accounting, Finance or similar discipline
  • 7+ years’ experience in accounting industry
  • Experience within the retail and or healthcare space is a plus
  • In-depth understanding of US GAAP as it relates to job responsibilities
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Suite, SAP and Blackline
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be able to effectively handle multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline driven environment
  • The current working arrangements for this role consist of remote working. Those arrangements are subject to change at any time, which would require onsite reporting at our Indianapolis support office location.
