Salary Range: $74,800 - $130,000/year

Summary:
A member of the technical project management team, the Project Manager plans, organizes, and executes plant projects within area of assigned responsibility. Plans and coordinates project resources and project execution according to requirements. The Project Manager is responsible for delivery of capital expenditure initiatives on time and on budget. This individual will need to be self-sufficient in tackling operational challenges and have a strong ability to create practical solutions independently.

This position reports to the Manager-Technical Projects and is responsible for projects in Verdi, NV and support of projects in Paramount, CA. This is full-time, on-site position based out of Verdi, NV.

Core Responsibilities:
• Responsible for planning and executing small to large capital expenditure projects, including equipment and expansion.
• Responsible for planning and executing facilities projects, including buildings, civil works, and other compliance projects.
• Develop and maintain project schedules and budgets, in planning phase through project execution and completion.
• Create and present project status reports regularly to executive level stakeholders.
• Support equipment engineering and maintenance teams in planning and execution of plant infrastructure upgrades and repairs as required.
• Develop project implementation plans when required, including forecasting downtime and production impact and communicating to relevant departments.
• Coordinate vendors and suppliers for projects, managing quoting process through delivery and ensuring adherence to project timelines.
• Manage general and specialized contractors from quoting through final acceptance of work, overseeing any on-site construction activities.
• Support engineering and technical efforts on plant projects to develop solutions to technical issues.
• Conduct regular meetings to communicate project status, challenges, and escalation requirements when necessary.
• Ensure organized, centralized files and documentation are kept for all project activities.
• Track project performance and goals, with a focus on process improvement for future projects.
• Support engineering design and analysis of plant machinery and systems.
• Take a supportive role to ensure environmental, safety and facility security compliance.
• Assist with the implementation of annual shutdowns and commissioning of equipment projects which may include working during weekends and holidays.

Additional Responsibilities:
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
• Must be able to comply with ITAR and EAR residency requirements.
• Capital project management experience of large-scale projects.
• Knowledge and experience using CAD software is preferred (e.g. AutoCAD).
• Familiarity with state and local building codes and standards.
• Goal oriented and demonstrated ability to continually prioritize tasks, and work under pressure with sensitivity to deadlines.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.

Education/Experience:
• Bachelor’s Degree or PMP required
• B.S. in Project Management or Engineering preferred
• 0-7+ years’ experience working in project management or engineering, preferably in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment.
