Job Description

The Supply Chain Specialist supports Materials & Standards operations by coordinating supply chain activities, managing inventory planning, and ensuring efficient material flow across the organization. This role works closely with cross-functional teams to optimize supply chain performance, improve processes, and support production and business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Incorporate planning and change decisions to develop optimal supply chain solutions

  • Apply Supply Chain Management (SCM) methodologies to support coordination across the global supply chain

  • Analyze complex material requirements and production schedules

  • Verify and incorporate Bills of Material (BOM) into production planning activities

  • Determine and manage part number attributes

  • Initiate, coordinate, and authorize order releases based on system requirements and resource availability

  • Monitor and ensure on-time delivery performance

  • Document and resolve order delinquencies and schedule adherence issues

  • Develop and manage inventory plans while optimizing inventory levels

  • Analyze and disposition excess or obsolete inventory

  • Support audits and compliance activities related to materials management

  • Develop schedules for products and services and assist with proposal estimates and planning

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and establish best practices for materials management and SCM processes

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align supply chain operations with organizational objectives

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)

  • 5+ years of Materials and Standards experience

  • Experience supporting supply chain, inventory planning, or materials management operations

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Experience working with Bills of Material (BOM), production schedules, and inventory control processes

  • Ability to coordinate across multiple teams and manage priorities effectively

  • Strong communication and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)

  • Boeing experience strongly preferred

  • Experience supporting aerospace or manufacturing supply chain operations

  • Experience with process improvement and supply chain optimization initiatives

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree and typically 6 or more years of related work experience, Master’s degree with typically 4 or more years of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
