Job description

The Senior Software Engineer will design, build, and support SSIS packages and C# API integrations that enable secure, reliable file transfers and data exchange between external partners, internal systems, the Record Management System, and web applications. You will focus on automated data integration, file upload and download functionality, secure FTP/SFTP connectivity, SQL-based data processing, and API-based system integration.
Our Department of Defense Contract requires U.S. citizenship for this position. You will report to the Associate Director, HGB IT Platform and Foundational Services for Humana Military.

The Senior Software Engineer builds and maintains SSIS packages and C#/.NET API integrations that support secure file transfers, data transformation, and application connectivity. You will also build SSIS workflows for file intake, validation, transformation, loading, delivery, archiving, logging, and error handling.

The position is also responsible for designing and implementing APIs using C# and .NET to connect the Record Management System with web applications and other internal systems. These APIs will support file upload, file download, metadata exchange, secure communication, and integration workflow processing.

You will collaborate with business partners and technical teams to gather requirements, define technical solutions, troubleshoot integration issues, optimize SQL processes, support deployments, and ensure solutions comply with security, privacy, and operational standards.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5 or more years of experience in systems analysis or application programming development
  • Proven experience in Visual Studio, ADO Repository, and NuGet package management using C# and .NET
  • Hands-on experience building SSIS packages
  • Solid working knowledge of SQL and relational databases
  • Experience with FTP/SFTP protocols and Windows file system automation
  • Successfully receive interim approval for government security clearance (NBIS- National Background Investigation Service
  • Our Department of Defense contract requires U.S. citizenship for this position. We are not able to hire candidates that are living in Puerto Rico
  • Excellent analytical and troubleshooting abilities
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills
  • Familiarity with enterprise data transfer and security compliance

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
