Position Summary
Our Bell Person warmly welcomes, greets, and assists both arriving and departing guests, ensuring a seamless and pleasant experience. They handle guest inquiries and special requests with professionalism and efficiency, providing exceptional service and support throughout the guests' stay.
Essential Functions
  • Escorts incoming hotel guests to rooms. Assist with luggage in accordance with hotel and/or brand standards.
  • Offer information on available services and facilities at the hotel, as well as local points of interest and entertainment attractions. Help guests make reservations for social and recreational events or for travel.
  • Provide guests with travel information, such as transportation rates, routes, schedules, and driving directions. Call taxis for guests.
  • Transfers luggage and packages to guestrooms, loading area, or meeting rooms using a hand truck.
  • Deliver messages and run errands.
  • Assist arriving and departing guests with valet parking.
  • Responsible for handling guest laundry.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of storage areas and luggage areas.
  • Maintain lobby appearance by removing newspapers, rearranging furniture, etc.

Additional Responsibilities
  • The hotel operates 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. Department schedules must accommodate fluctuating business demands, and employees may be asked to work shifts other than those they prefer or normally work.
  • Employees are required to adhere to all work rules, procedures, and policies established by the hotel, including, but not limited to, those contained in the employee handbook.

Skills and Abilities
  • Excellent people skills are needed to meet/exceed customer expectations.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lift moderate to heavy weights.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Must have a valid driver's license to drive automatic and standard transmission vehicles.
