As a Security Officer Patrol Mall Center in Newport Beach, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a dynamic retail center, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service to visitors, tenants, and staff. You will communicate professionally, respond to security-related concerns, and support a welcoming environment. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout retail common areas, parking facilities, storefront perimeters, and surrounding property to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access points, observe activity within assigned areas, and report security-related concerns, hazards, or maintenance issues in accordance with site procedures.
  • Assist with traffic flow, visitor directions, lost-and-found inquiries, and other customer service needs while maintaining a professional presence at the location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Ability to ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Experience using handcuffs, pepper spray, and batons is preferred.
  • Pepper spray certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
