Position Summary
The Sales and Education Executive is responsible for, but not limited to leading their assigned market's sales, education, and event strategy and execution
Responsibilities:
Sales
  • Accountable for achieving sales goals
  • Record sales on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis
  • Analyze business performance and respond to opportunities through education and operational adjustment.
  • Partner with Regional Manager to identify whitespace opportunities, productivity drivers, and market expansion strategies.
  • Analyze reports & business needs to implement strategies that drive sales results
  • Create tailored, market-level strategies that account for local dynamics and challenges.
  • Share meaningful insights and feedback with leadership that celebrate successes, surface challenges, and support the continued evolution of the brand.
  • Execute brand strategic initiatives successfully
  • Build strong brand and retailer partnerships
  • Communicate with store leadership and management prior to and during in-store visits
  • Plan and execute impactful store events that meet brand standards
  • Work with retailers to manage inventory levels for sales growth
  • Coach & Develop retail employees to achieve individual sales goals and key performance indicators.
  • Foster a culture of ownership, entrepreneurial thinking, and brand pride across individual markets.

Education/Artistry
  • Demonstrate a high level of makeup artistry skills with the ability to teach others
  • Ability to develop others through hands-on demonstration, team selling, and coaching
  • Provides side by side leadership and motivation on the sales floor with all staff and management
  • Assist clients with product knowledge, makeup applications, and purchases
  • Facilitate and support brand and retailer trainings - in-store, remote locations, and virtual
  • Own on-boarding training for new retail employees, as well as ensuring ongoing training is part of the development journey.
  • Complete all education and training programs as outlined by management.
  • Maintain education tools and kits to a high standard, including communication and replenishment needs.
  • Manage gratis allocation including inventory, assembly, and distribution as needed

Events
  • Facilitate and support brand events including planning, execution, recap, and follow up
  • Manage allocation of event resources, T&E/Freelance budget to support driving ROI for brand events
  • Manage TOA allocation including inventory, assembly, and distribution as needed
  • Manage Event Collateral-to include transport, set up, and tear down event kits/supplies/collateral
  • Maintain event tools to a high standard and communicate replenishment needs

Additional
  • Follow brand budget guidelines and utilize tools for tracking budgets.
  • Complete required tracking tools and documents for key performance indicators as communicated by leadership.
  • Maintain an accurate working calendar that reflects shifts and daily responsibilities, enabling transparency into activity planning, market coverage, and measurable business impact.
  • Maintain VM Standards & Guidelines in all retail locations within territory.
  • Recruit, Hire, and Train Retail Staff in specific retailers in accordance with retailer policies and procedures.
  • Recruit, Hire, and Train Freelance Team members. Manage hours worked, schedules and consistent communication of brand initiatives. Build and develop a high-performing freelance team, overseeing accurate weekly time reporting in accordance with brand pay practices. Ensure freelancers consistently represent the brand with excellence and professionalism within retail environments.

Requirements:
  • 3-5+ years of relevant work experience in Sales and Education; Sephora / Nordstrom experience is a plus
  • Team player with a positive outlook and open mindset.
  • Strong strategic thinking and decision-making skills-Ability to interact with all levels of management, work collaboratively and build positive/effective business partnerships

Westman Atelier offers a holistic total compensation package designed to support employees in all aspects of life, including a robust suite of health benefits, wellness perks, 401k, and paid parental leave. The base salary for this position will range from $65,000 - $84,000. Exact compensation may vary based on job related skills, experience, and location.
