Via Student Transit is looking for safe, reliable local drivers in St. Louis to transport students to and from school using their own personal vehicle. Unlike traditional rideshare, you'll complete scheduled student transportation routes with smart routing, dedicated support, and the opportunity to help families in your community every day.

Requirements to be a Via Driver Partner:

  • Be at least 25 years old
  • Valid U.S. driver's license
  • Minimum 5 years of unrestricted U.S. driving history
  • A qualifying personal vehicle (4 doors, no older than 10 years, able to pass a safety inspection)
  • Active personal auto insurance
  • Smartphone compatible with the Via Driver App
  • Ability to pass:
    • Fingerprint-based background check
    • Drug screening
    • Motor vehicle record check

What to Expect:

  • Typical driving hours: Two 2–4 hour shifts are available each weekday; AM shifts vary between 6:30–9:30 AM and afternoon shifts vary between 2:00–5:00 PM.
  • Hourly pay applies only to scheduled and completed driving hours
  • You will be driving your own vehicle, and this must meet all local program and safety requirements.
  • Driver Partners are responsible for fuel, maintenance, and personal auto insurance costs.
