Job description


ย The tool crib attendant is responsible for prepping all kitting for upcoming jobs to be released to the manufacturing floor. This role is critical to have close attention to detail skills, comfortable working in a machine shop fast pace environment and comfortable with purchasing/administrative duties.ย This role is 100% in office at our plant in East Hartford, CT.

Major Areas of Responsibility:

  • Receives, verifies, organizes, and stores tools, equipment, supplies, materials, and parts inventory.
  • Monitors order-points, places, and expedites tooling and supplies orders.
  • Work from blueprints, operation sheets, work instructions, and other specifications, to build required ย  ย kits for manufacturing operations.
  • Maintains inventory levels using spreadsheets and databases.
  • Works with Purchasing to procure of perishable and non-perishable tooling.
  • Quotes special tooling needs for manufacturing process.
  • Performs tool sharpening.
  • Assists with troubleshooting using tooling vendors for support.
  • Inspects and measures tools and equipment for defects and wear.
  • Packs and washes/preserves parts as needed.
  • Performs other machining and assembly operations as needed
  • Interacts with associates from all departments.
  • Performs other related duties as required.
  • Deliver tool kits and miscellaneous supplies to various machines on the manufacturing floor.
  • Cross train for other functions within the department.
  • Potential to become Forklift certified.

Requirements:

  • One to two years prior experience in a tool crib environment
  • Strong communication and analytical skills.
  • Must be able to read and write comments, understand operation sheets, blueprints, and specifications. ย Required PC Skills including Microsoft Office and Excel.




Compensation details: 25-27 Yearly Salary
