Position Summary

Our factory in Crete, Nebraska stands as one of the largest manufacturers in the area and one of the largest wet pet food manufacturing facilities in the U.S. Together, we proudly produce over one thousand tons of pet food per day, including renowned brands such as Alpo, Nestle Purina ONE, Pro Plan, Friskies, and Nestle Purina Veterinary Diets. We also do our part to care for the environment, like conserving water, investing in renewable electricity, and maintaining zero waste for disposal.  Situated just 25 miles from the factory, the city of Lincoln offers convenience to many of our associates who prefer the amenities of larger city living. Hourly pay starting at $31.68 with opportunities for increase up to $38.02 through additional training / certifications. As a Maintenance Technician you will be responsible for the maintenance of all plant systems, which will include facilities, unloading, processing, packing and warehouse operations. You will troubleshoot and repair both mechanical and electrical equipment. Working in a safe manner at all times, you will play a major role in machine reliability and process improvements across the plant. Our maintenance work includes both predictive and preventative maintenance.

  • Maintenance of plant systems: mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and instrumentation
  • Troubleshoot electrical controls systems including motors and PLCs
  • Use test equipment such as multimeters, megohmmeters, and process simulators
  • Repair gear reducers, belt and screw conveyors, chain elevators, and packaging equipment
  • Maintain wastewater system, boiler operations, cooling towers, and general building needs
  • Complete predictive maintenance such as vibration analysis and oil sample collection

Requirements

  • 6+ months of maintenance experience in a manufacturing, technical, warehouse, industrial, military, or related environment OR a 2-year technical degree completed

  • Must be willing to work nights and weekends
