Job description

Job Description:
NEEDED SKILLS:
Required -
  • Basic to experienced level of electrical and mechanical troubleshooting in an industrial environment. Minimum 2 years.
  • Able to troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and/or replace switches, sensors, valves, actuators, conveyor belts, electric motors, pumps, gearboxes, power supplies, etc.
  • Understands machinery operation, maintenance procedures & PLC-based controls.
  • Must have a preventative and proactive mindset.
  • The employee must have a full range of body movements including the use of hands for handling objects, computer equipment, and peripherals, and bending, reaching, climbing stairs, working at heights, and crouching/kneeling.
  • Must have command of senses - sight, hearing, touch, and smell.
  • Must have the ability to lift 50 pounds with regularity.
  • Must be able to understand and follow work instructions in English.

Desirable -
  • Preferable to have some experience using Allen-Bradley PLCs, automation, and instrumentation.
  • Proficient in welding.
  • Experience working with manufacturing equipment such as driers, fluid pumps, conveyors (pneumatic, screw, belt, vibrating), instrumentation (temperature, flow, weights), ovens, motors, fans, extruders, and mill grinders.
  • Experience in food or beverage manufacturing.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
  • 12-hour, 4-5-day shift environment with a customer service orientation to plant operations.
  • Pre-employment background/drug screening and e-file background testing are required.
  • Food Safety and Good Manufacturing Practices, including appropriate safety equipment apply.
  • While performing the duties of this position, the employee may be required to sit for prolonged periods of time, climb stairs, climb ladders and walk plant floors that could exceed one mile of travel per day
