Job description

Summit Technologies, Inc. seeking a highly capable System Administrator with Microsoft products experience to support U.S. Army and Joint Command & Control (C2) systems in a mission-focused training environment. This on-site position is located at Hurlburt Field, FL and requires an active DoD Secret clearance.
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage Windows workstations and servers, maintain a C2 training lab, support Army, and Air Force mission systems, and ensure compliance with DoD cybersecurity standards.
  • Support and integrate Army Mission Command Systems (AFATDS, TAIS, DCGS-A, GCCS-A, CPCE, AMDWS) within a joint training environment.
  • Perform system administration activities including installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, and IAVA compliance.
  • Manage Windows Server environments, Active Directory, Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM), and SQL databases.
  • Monitor system performance, review logs, and proactively troubleshoot issues.
  • Apply DISA STIGs to secure systems and maintain compliance with DoD cybersecurity requirements.
  • Maintain system documentation, configurations, and operational procedures.
  • Provide support to facility and security managers, including access control compliance.
  • Maintain a DoD C2 training lab and configuration-managed client workstations.
  • Backup and restore of servers and workstations.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to less experienced personnel.

Required Skills
  • Five plus years of server administration experience on Windows Server 2019 (or later) environments.
  • Two years of support experience in Microsoft Windows 10 or higher workstations.
  • Experience with workstation reset(s), reimage, and configuration for classroom training environments.
  • Experience with installing IAVAs and applying software security patches.
  • Experience using Microsoft PowerShell 3.0 (or newer) or command line tools and scripts to administer workstations and servers.
  • Demonstrated experience reviewing, interpreting, and taking appropriate action based on system logs data.
  • Prior experience with U.S. Military automated systems enabling cyber, mission command (MC), and command and control performed in support of joint air-ground intelligence, targeting, plans, and operations highly desired.
  • Experience configuring of Theater Battle Management Core System, including the associated IRIS message handling system highly desired.
  • Administration experience with Battle Command Common Services Server (BCCS) V 5 or newer highly desired.
  • Experience supporting and integrating Army Mission Command Systems (AFATDS, TAIS, DCGS-A, GCCS-A, CPCE, AMDWS) within a joint training environment desired.
  • Experience in joint communications including common operational picture (COP) and common tactical picture (CTP) design and management desired.
  • Experience supporting the Air Force Air Operations Center Weapon System Information Systems (e.g., TBMCS for ATO and ACO processing, GCCS-J-I3 for joint intelligence and targeting) desired.
  • Experience in backup and recovery a plus.

Required Certifications
  • DoD 8140.03 IAT Level II/Intermediate (Security+, CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, CND, SSCP) required.
  • Microsoft Windows 10 or Windows 11 OS certification required (or may complete within 90 days).

Security Clearance
  • Active US DoD Secret Clearance is required.
