We're currently seeking a Maintenance Repair Worker I to join the City of Lincoln's Lincoln Transportation and Utilities (LTU) Team. In this role, you'll perform and assist with a wide range of building maintenance and repair tasks across city buildings, landscaped areas, pedestrian bridges, and more. What You'll Do: Building & Equipment Maintenance Preventative building maintenance including HVAC filters, exhaust fans, garage doors and cooling towers Communicate with tenants to identify and troubleshoot maintenance requests Paint and use power tools Perform custodial duties to include cleaning public restrooms and meeting rooms.

Grounds & Exterior Maintenance Repair fences and parking lot maintenance Maintain gutters, down spouts and storm water area inlet cleaning Snow removal and Weed spraying This position is an entry semi-skilled position with working knowledge for the maintenance, repair, and construction of municipal buildings and facilities. Work involves the performance of semi-skilled level maintenance, repair, and construction work in one or more of the following areas including carpentry, masonry, plumbing, electrical repair and related disciplines. An employee in this classification should have some familiarity with practices in the building and mechanical trades.

Work Hours: 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Minimum Qualifications Graduation from high school or equivalent plus six months of experience in a variety of maintenance, repair, and construction activities in any one or more of the craft disciplines including carpentry, masonry, plumbing, electrical repair and related disciplines; or any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the desirable knowledge, abilities and skills

Necessary Special Requirement Possession of a valid driver's license when operating a vehicle is necessary to the satisfactory performance of assigned duties.
