Job Summary
The General Support Oiler position includes primary duties of assisting with plant operation, equipment operation, and general maintenance. Responsibilities also include cleaning and material handling.
Essential Functions
• The Dragline Oiler is responsible for the daily lubrication, routine inspection, and preventive maintenance of dragline excavators. This role ensures all high-friction moving components-such as swing gears, wire ropes, sheaves, propel/walking mechanisms, and boom assemblies-are properly greased and oiled to prevent downtime and mechanical failure. The Oiler also assists the Dragline Operator with ground operations, equipment monitoring, and relief operation as needed.

• Equipment Operation- Proficiency in operating large equipment, including understanding the controls, gauges, and indicators. Ability to manipulate equipment accurately and smoothly for various tasks. Skill in handling attachments and understanding their applications.

Responsibilities
Education
• High School Diploma/GED or an equivalent combination of training and work experience.
Experience
• 2 to 5 years of experience in the mining or construction industry is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Ability to operate a skid-steer, fork lift or similar type clean-up loader.
• Operate mobile and fixed plant equipment.
• Clean plant area by shoveling or washing spilled material from under conveyors, tail pulleys and structures.
• Must be able to speak, read, and have a working knowledge of the English language.
Other Requirements
• Stand, walk, or sit for extended periods of time; grip, climb, reach, shovel, squat, crawl, or pull, push, as well as, bend and lift at least 45 pounds.
• Work in outdoor weather conditions of heat and cold.
• May be required to wear a respirator.
• Work near moving, mechanical parts, and vehicular traffic.
• Work required overtime and flexible work schedule.
• Work outdoors and be exposed to varying and/or extreme weather conditions (i.e., heat, wet, cold, etc).
• Work in high and/or precarious places or cramped work space that requires getting into awkward positions.
