About the Role

The Logistics Manager leads logistics operations to ensure efficient, cost-effective movement of materials and finished goods across the network. The role is responsible for developing logistics strategies, managing transportation and distribution activities, and optimizing service performance. Success in this role results in reliable delivery performance, controlled logistics costs, and efficient supply chain operations supporting business and customer requirements.

Logistics Strategy & Network Optimization  

  • Drive logistics strategies optimizing transportation, distribution, and material flow across the supply chain. 
  • Oversee carrier selection, routing, and distribution planning ensuring efficient and cost-effective operations. 
  • Evaluate logistics performance and determine actions improving service levels, cost efficiency, and delivery reliability. 
  • Execute logistics plans ensuring alignment with operational requirements and customer delivery expectations. 

Transportation Management & Cross-Functional Coordination  

  • Lead logistics teams and coordinate transportation activities supporting production, warehousing, and customer delivery requirements. 
  • Coordinate with procurement, operations, and sales teams to align logistics execution with business priorities. 
  • Assess capacity requirements and manage carrier relationships, contracts, and service performance expectations. 
  • Support cross-functional initiatives by providing logistics expertise and driving alignment across operational functions. 

Logistics Performance & Risk Management 

  • Oversee compliance with safety, regulatory, and contractual requirements across logistics and transportation activities. 
  • Identify logistics risks and determine mitigation strategies preventing delays, disruptions, and cost impacts. 
  • Monitor logistics performance against targets and escalate risks impacting service levels or delivery timelines. 
  • Drive operational discipline by enforcing standards, resolving issues, and maintaining logistics performance stability. 

Additional Expectations

  • Remain compliant with the Code of Conduct and Policies which includes the Kingspan Group Compliance Policy.
  • Ensure that all duties related to product compliance are adhered to in accordance with the Product Compliance Policy, Laws, Regulations, and market demands.
  • Responsible for all tasks to achieve compliance goals and demands of the Compliance Management System.
  • Must raise concerns related to the Compliance Management System to their supervisor, manager, or any member of the Leadership Team, or through the confidential whistle blower service.

What You’ll Bring

    • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, logistics, business, or related field required. 
    • Minimum of eight years of experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain management roles. 
    • Experience managing transportation networks, distribution operations, and carrier relationships. 
    • Strong knowledge of logistics operations, transportation regulations, and distribution planning practices. 
    • Experience using transportation management systems, ERP platforms, and logistics tracking tools. 
    • Ability to analyze logistics data and implement improvements in enhancing service levels and cost efficiency. 
    • Demonstrated leadership capability managing teams and driving operational performance improvements. 
    • Strong communication skills to coordinate with internal teams, external partners, and stakeholders. 
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced, service-driven logistics environments. 
    • Strong planning and organizational skills across complex, multi-site logistics operations. 
    • Proven problem-solving ability to resolve logistics challenges and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
