Job description

Distribution General Foreman

Force Electrical Services is looking for a skilled, self-motivated, dependable, and hardworking team player who can join our company as a General Foreman in our Distribution Department.

Working in the electric utility construction industry is for those who want a rewarding career as part of a team providing vital service to our customers and the public we serve. Our goal is to complete every project efficiently and to get every employee home safely.

Requirements:

Must have knowledge of Distribution electrical standards, practices, and procedures.

Able to read electrical prints and schematics.

Able to manage multiple crews and projects at the same time.

Provide technical assistance to the crews and train proper techniques.

Able to work for extended periods in various locations, when required.

Possess a CDL class A driver’s license or obtain one within 30 days of employment.

Able to meet all the physical requirements of the job classification (exact duties will be provided prior to interview)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Oversees department Foreman on a day-to-day basis.

Responsible for overseeing and planning jobs daily.

Supervise work schedules, manpower, material quantities, and equipment utilization by maximizing utilization of resources, labor, equipment, material, and other job costs. Oversee subcontractors’ safety, quality, and schedule.

Establish and maintain positive, professional relations with customers, owner representatives, and job site inspectors.

Comply with OSHA, DOT regulations and ensure crew members utilize all personal protective equipment.

Conduct and/or contribute and participate in safety meetings and ensure daily safety talks are held with crew(s).

Ensure timely and accurate submission of required paperwork.

Maintain control and appropriate follow-through of crews. Provide coaching and mentoring crew members for advancement. Provide fair and consistent reward and discipline. Complete Performance Reviews timely and provide honest feedback in areas of excellence as well as in areas needing improvement.
