Job description

ESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
• Conduct comprehensive troubleshooting, repair and preventive maintenance and provide technical support.
• Provide skilled labor and technical expertise to perform maintenance and repairs.
• Independently diagnose and resolve a broad range of technical issues.
• Actively participate with the Equipment Planner and Continuous Improvement Technician.
• Completes assigned rebuild work order independently.
• Utilize maintenance EAM software to track all work progress and materials to ensure timely completion of work orders.
• Collaborate with the Parts Room Coordinator to ensure all required parts are ordered efficiently.
• Plan for and independently perform predictive and preventive maintenance activities.
• Actively participate in and contribute to process development activities and projects.
• Contribute to the development of technical training materials.
• Coordinate and execute defined continuous improvement projects.
• Demonstrate commitment to Rockline's RRITE values of Renew, Respect, Integrity, Teamwork and Excellence.
• Associates have a direct and important role in ensuring that all work is performed in a safe manner. Effectiveness in carrying out this responsibility is part of each associate's essential accountabilities.
• Contribute to a cooperative working effort by demonstrating a willingness to perform other job-related work, as needed or requested.
• Do everything necessary to ensure facility is always in a clean, "tour ready" status.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: (To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each of the essential accountabilities satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.)
• Must possess a high school diploma
• Must have excellent safety and attendance records
• Minimum 3 years mechanical background or equivalent education and experience (i.e. Associate Degree in a technical field + 1 year experience).
• Intermediate experience maintaining/troubleshooting machine control systems required
• Knowledge of OSHA Industrial Safety standards and practices
• Strong welding/fabricating/layout skills preferred
• Good communication/documentation skills, ability to read and write English
• Ability to read blueprints and schematic diagrams
• Ability to work at heights up to 30 ft.
• Machine Tool experience a plus
• Basic computer skills required
• Forklift certification required
• Completion of 6 online and in-house trainings - Maintenance Fundamentals (MST); Mechanical Concepts (MST); Pneumatic Controls (MST); Sealing Wheels Rebuild (In-house)' Jaw Heater and RTD (In-house)
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS: (The physical demands described here are representatives of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. • Must be able to communicate face-to-face and over the phone
• Frequent sitting and standing, as well as occasional bending, twisting, kneeling, climbing, pushing/pulling and reaching above shoulder level.
• Must be able to stand at least 8-12 hours
• Work environment includes occasional noise >85db and hot and cold temperatures.
• Requires ability to read, write, calculate and reason.
