Position Summary
Yonkers Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation is seeking a dependable and motivated Maintenance Associate to join our team. The Maintenance Associate is responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, and functional environment for residents, staff, and visitors by performing routine maintenance, repairs, and facility upkeep throughout the building and grounds.
Location: 115 S Broadway, Yonkers

Full Time, Monday - Friday 9am to 5pm no weekends

    Responsibilities
    • Perform routine maintenance and repairs throughout the facility
    • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency situations
    • Maintain resident rooms, offices, common areas, and building equipment
    • Assist with plumbing, electrical, painting, carpentry, and minor HVAC repairs
    • Conduct preventative maintenance inspections and document completed work
    • Ensure facility grounds are clean, safe, and well maintained
    • Move furniture, equipment, and supplies as needed
    • Follow all safety regulations, infection control standards, and facility policies
    • Assist with snow removal, trash disposal, and general building upkeep
    • Report major repair needs or safety concerns to the Maintenance Director
    Qualifications
    • Previous maintenance experience preferred, preferably in a healthcare or skilled nursing setting
    • High School Diploma or equivalent
    • Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC systems
    • Ability to use maintenance tools and equipment safely
    • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
