Job description

Description:

Primary function of the Maintenance Technician is to complete projects and repairs in regard to routine, preventative and emergency maintenance in the hotel as directed by the Chief Engineer.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that guests receive prompt, professional treatment and courteous service in response to their maintenance needs. 
  • Complete all tasks, work orders and special projects as assigned by Chief Engineer.
  • Perform daily inspections to ensure property grounds and work areas are maintained to standard.
  • Be aware that all safety equipment and conditions are up to code, report any concern to the Chief Engineer or General Manager.
  • Follow proper lockout/tagout procedures.
  • Complete all preventative maintenance projects as assigned.
  • As assigned, maintain, monitor, and test the hotel’s emergency and security systems, features and procedures.
  • Be aware that all tools and equipment are in working condition, and up to code; report any concerns to the Chief Engineer or General Manager. 
  • Maintain the security of all equipment and tools.
  • Maintaining the grounds near the pool, Jacuzzi, sauna, fitness area and restrooms are on par with the standard meant to be maintained.
  • Proficient in basic Building Services Engineering; including, but not limited to wall vinyl repairs, tile work, grouting, caulking, plaster, and painting.
  • Perform property walks to ensure cleanliness, functionality and security.
  • Setup maintain and refresh function room as required.

  • Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
