Job Overview:

Requirement/Must Have:

  • 1+ years of experience with SA + NetView administration and automation.
  • 1+ years of experience with REXX programming.
  • 1+ years of experience with z/OS system programming and infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

  • Understand mainframe concepts around starting and stopping tasks.
  • Proficient with SA + NetView administration creating, identifying, and updating the PDB database.
  • Configure NetView automation tables, message processing, and command lists.
  • Control the lifecycle of managed resources including starting, stopping, and restarting tasks.
  • Knowledge of the STC required and configuring the same for SA + NetView.
  • Strong REXX programming knowledge.
  • Understand and update the IPL/shutdown automation.
  • Work with operation/sysprog teams to identify use cases for automation and automate them.
  • Manage SA + NetView in a sysplex environment.
  • Integrate SA + NetView with other tools like IzWS and Omegamon.
  • Excellent understanding of System z architecture.
  • Experience with IBM z/OS operating system.
  • Build Mainframe LPAR and perform OS upgrades.
  • Install patches and fixes.
  • Maintain system parameters and parmlib.
  • Manage JES3 subsystem.
  • Manage incidents related to z/OS issues.
  • Perform z/OS performance monitoring and reporting.
