CICS ADMIN
Must Have Technical/Functional Skills
IBM/vendor support familiar with IBM and other vendors web sites: Open problem cases, ask questions, prepare and send dumps.
• SMP/E in depth knowledge to do install work on CICS and any associated products
• Security in depth knowledge of ACF2 (must be able to install security on CICS and associated products and create ACF2 security rules as they pertain to CICS)
• SMF moderate skill set required to gather and manipulate SMF data (specifically the CICS 110 records)
• Problem determination skills ability to diagnose problem and determine root cause and remediation
• Adhere to defined middleware standards and contribute to the development and improvement of technical standards.
• Recommend middleware and utility upgrades in alignment with client and platform requirements.
• Evaluate, download, install, update, and apply preventive and remedial maintenance for middleware platforms.
• Perform and support ongoing middleware configuration changes to ensure system stability and performance.
• Manage maintenance, upgrades, and configuration changes for client third party supplier middleware utilities.
• Optimize middleware performance through proactive monitoring, tuning, and configuration adjustments.
• Provide 24/7 operational support for middleware systems and associated utilities.
• Perform middleware system recovery activities to ensure high availability and resilience.
• Provide technical guidance and advice to application development teams on middleware integration.
• Support application messaging and transaction platforms including MQ for z/OS and CICS environments
Salary Range- $100,000-$115,000 a year
