Job Description

We are looking for experienced Software Engineers to participate in an Agile development environment producing functional software solutions for delivery to our customers. In this role, you should be able to work independently with little supervision while also collaborating with team members. You should have excellent organization and problem-solving skills, and experience in Agile development methodologies. The individual and team goal will be to develop high-quality software that is aligned with user needs and business objectives.

Preferred work Location for this position is in our Lisle, IL office.

Education and Work Experience: Bachelor's in Engineering and 5+ years of related experience or Master's degree in Engineering and 3+ years of related experience

What you will be doing in a typical week:

  • Developing modern high-quality software - Create unit tests and perform functional testing of software to find bugs and confirm that delivered software meets specifications and quality requirements.

  • Interactions with customers for demos, and feedback sessions.

  • Drive opportunities to increase efficiency and productivity through best practices.

  • Define and create pipelines to enable Continuous Testing within Agile teams.

Requirements:

This position is concentrated on the mainframe platform, with development in Assembler and Metal C.

In addition to the talent and passion, experience in one or more of these areas could make you a great addition to our team.

  • At least 8+ years of experience of mainframe development experience

  • Has mastered the basics of operating as a developer in the IBM mainframe environment

  • Mainframe Assembler, Metal C, Java and Rest APIs

  • Mainframe debugging skills using IPCS, VM Trace, XDC, etc.

  • Bachelors in Engineering and 8+ years of related experience; at this level postgraduate coursework may be desirable or Masters degree in Engineering and 6+ years of related experience

Nice to have:

  • Expertise on Mainframe extensible frameworks such as ZOWE and dealing with pass tickets, certificates, keyrings

  • Experience in software testing methodologies such as BDD and TDD

  • Strong understanding of security protocols and Security ESMs

  • Source control systems experience (Endevor)


Compensation and Benefits


The annual base salary range for this position is USD 109,700.00 To USD 175,500.00
