Job description

Job Summary (List Format) – Mainframe Developer at Must be local to NYC/NJ/CT 
- Develop and deliver high-quality software solutions across banking product domains using Mainframe technologies.
- Write and maintain code with COBOL, JCL, and DB2, including database modeling and performance tuning.
- Ensure developed code aligns with system architecture and integration design standards.
- Participate in design and architecture discussions, daily stand-ups, and Agile sprint planning sessions.
- Collaborate with global, cross-functional teams (Business Analysts, Developers, QA, Infrastructure) to ensure application stability and availability.
- Apply advanced problem-solving skills to optimize mainframe processes and resolve technical issues.
- Follow development best practices and maintain attention to detail in all deliverables.
- Work independently, take ownership of assigned tasks, and drive items to closure.
- Use Agile frameworks and tools (such as JIRA) for continuous delivery and project tracking.
- Leverage experience and knowledge from the Financial Services industry, preferably with exposure to major financial institutions.
- Optionally utilize knowledge of CICS, REXX, MQ, CICS web services, and distributed programming languages.
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills and a willingness to learn and grow within the role.
- Hold a minimum Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
