Job description

Programmer/Analyst Senior

This is a Programmer/Analyst Senior position on the Treasury Management/Enterprise Payments team. The candidate will work on our Commercial initiatives as well as production support of the following mainframe applications: Commercial Information Reporting, Open Text, and EDI. Other mainframe applications may be added later.

Detailed Description
  • Expertise programming skills with COBOL
  • Experience with coding in Easytrieve
  • Ability to perform Developer activities including a lead position on projects. This could involve acting as Tech Lead on a project and making sure all other technical areas are completing design, code and staying on schedule.
  • Work closely with other IT teams, business, product, and testers when doing project work and supporting the applications.
  • Able to work independently on tasks.
  • Knowledge of doing production support and being able to dig into an application or work with other teams to come to a resolution.
  • Perform tasks on regular basis to support the applications.
  • Add tickets for incidents and changes in Service Now and complete in timely manner
  • Help with giving hour estimates on projects
  • Knowledge of CICS, DB2, VSAM is required
  • On-call weekly rotation, 24x7 support when on-call
  • Validation of infrastructure changes during Sunday maintenance window
  • Good documentation skills
Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree or related experience, minimum 3+ years of Programmer/Analyst experience with working on projects and supporting mainframe applications.

Preferred Qualifications

Excellent oral, written and presentation skills.

Able to multi-task between project work and production support tasks/issues.

Must be detail oriented all around from writing design documents to unit testing and/or validating a production issue to the end.

Ability to facilitate meetings, bring others together to discuss topic or to work through issues.

Understanding of Agile framework

Knowledge of MQ, Web Services, API is preferred.

Able to stay ahead of schedule and meet deadlines.

Previous experience with BAI and ISO file formats a plus.

Knowledge of payment applications a plus.

Working with vendor applications is a plus.

Working knowledge of Service Now is a plus.

Able to work well together as a team and share responsibilities when needed.

Proficient in Microsoft applications, ex: Word, Access, Visio, Excel.
