While Mainframe Development involves creating and maintaining mainframe applications, Mainframe Testing focuses on ensuring those applications work correctly and efficiently. Both roles require knowledge of mainframe environments and related skills, but they serve different stages in the software lifecycle.
We are seeking an experienced Mainframe Developer with 12–15 years of experience in COBOL-based mainframe development and strong expertise in FIS Core Banking Systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with RM, GN, IM, AM, and SC modules and will be responsible for developing, supporting, troubleshooting, and managing core banking applications.
Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, enhance, and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL, CICS, DB2, and JCL.
Develop and implement solutions following established SDLC methodologies.
Provide expert-level technical support for FIS Core Banking Systems, including RM, GN, IM, AM, and SC.
Analyze and resolve production incidents and application issues using a proactive ownership approach.
Troubleshoot complex technical problems and identify root causes and appropriate solutions.
Work closely with business users, technical teams, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
Direct and oversee technical teams throughout project lifecycles when required.
Quickly adapt priorities based on changing business and project needs.
Present technical findings, analysis, and recommendations clearly to stakeholders.
Maintain strong attention to detail, documentation, and organizational standards.
12–15 years of Mainframe development experience.
Strong hands-on experience with:

DB2
JCL
Extensive experience with FIS Core Banking Systems, including:

SC
Proven experience in application troubleshooting, incident resolution, and production support.
