Job Summary:
Omega Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Mainframe Developer with expertise in CICS, COBOL, DB2, and MQ. The role involves analysis, coding, testing, and maintaining application software while supporting existing business systems applications and providing on-call system support.
Responsibilities:
• Responsible for Analysis, coding, testing, and maintaining application software.
• Supports existing business systems applications.
• Partners with senior developers and application architects to identify business need and appropriate technical solutions.
• Responsible for coding as well as assisting with designing and documenting technical requirements for business applications.
• Participates in 7x24 on-call system support.
• Recent working experience in Assembler.
• Knowledge in Assembler, CICS, COBOL, DB2, MQ and Mainframe infrastructure is required and Knowledge on emerging technologies is plus.
• Intertest experience is a huge plus.
• Expert in multiple languages and tools.
• Credit/Debit or Financial knowledge.
• Should be quick learner, Detail-oriented, Multitasker.
• Ability to work in a challenging environment.
• Possesses strong knowledge of application development technologies, tools, methodologies as well as all functional areas in IT organization.
• Should be able to support production and should be available to support on-call, as needed.
• Enhances staff accomplishments and competence by planning delivery of solutions; answering technical and procedural questions for less experienced team members; teaching improved processes; mentoring team members.
• Good understanding of how technology relates to business, market and industry and applies such knowledge to support the needs of the business.
