Description

Mainframe Storage and z/OS Specialist

Provide dedicated oversight of mainframe storage operations and coordinate with Ensono to ensure that Db2 storage is available, efficient and appropriately managed.

Key responsibilities

Monitor storage utilization, capacity thresholds and storage-group growth.

Review and manage storage-related alerts and coordinate remediation.

Work directly with Ensono storage teams on capacity additions, configuration issues and operational concerns.

Support Db2 archive, recovery and storage-related activities.

Investigate storage-related incidents, including interactions among Db2, applications, batch processing and infrastructure.

Participate in capacity planning and recommend corrective actions before storage constraints affect production.

Provide z/OS operational support where needed.

Partner with agency teams to clarify storage ownership, escalation paths and service expectations.

Assist with operational documentation, issue tracking and vendor communications.

Preferred skills
