Job Description:
  • Must have in depth experience with DB2 as an application developer; using stored procedures, user defined functions and embedded SQL
  • Must have in depth experience with DB2 as an application developer; using stored procedures, user defined functions and embedded SQL in other Programming Language
  • Expertise in DB2 data modelling, DB2 performance tuning, and writing materialized queries, triggers and stored procedures.
  • Expertise in Mainframe COBOL-DB2-CICS-Java programming under MVS Z OS and Linux operating systems.
  • Design, Create and Implement tables by ensuring their integrity, dependency, and performance.
  • Data modeling to visualize database structure.
  • Prepare documentations for database applications.
  • Develop database schemas, tables and dictionaries.
  • Writing queries for MS SQL, MySQL, Oracle and DB/2.
  • Programming views, stored procedures, and functions.
  • Creating database triggers for automation, e.g., automatic email notifications.
  • Ensure the data quality and integrity in databases.
  • Creating table indexes to improve database performance.
  • Fix any issues related to database performance and provide corrective measures.
  • Create complex functions, scripts, stored procedures and triggers to fix and support current production issues.
  • Test data from various operational data tables and perform bug fixes.
  • Develop best practices for database design and development activities. Such as, table design including normalization.
  • Working with application developers to create optimized queries.
  • Understanding the way how cloud databases work with cloud applications is also a plus.
