Job Summary
Forklift Operator - Travel Team
Ready to hit the road and keep operations moving? We're looking for a Forklift Operator who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and doesn't mind traveling. This role offers Monday-Friday hours from 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM with 85% travel, giving you the opportunity to work at multiple locations while playing a key role in warehouse and material movement operations.
In this position, you'll safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move raw materials, finished goods, and equipment throughout the facility. You'll also assist with cranes, hoists, hand trucks, and other tools as needed. Job Description
Key Accountabilities:
  • Accurately removes and stocks product, customer's product, and various supplies according to inventory plan.
  • Accurately selects product to fill customer orders and package them properly.
  • Loads and unload trucks and verify that correct items are loaded and unloaded.
  • Picking, processing and packing orders, also may be required to cut orders on Kaltenbach saw.
  • Completes cycle Counts.
  • Identifies, holds and segregates defective material.
  • Completes paperwork per work instructions, when required.
  • Performs general clean up.
  • Inspects forklift at the beginning of every shift; report issues to immediate supervisor or other designated personnel.
  • Participates, support and comply with all health, safety, ISO and 6S Initiatives and requirements.
  • Assists in any other duties to support the operation, as requested by supervisor or team lead.
  • This is a position that works directly on the warehouse floor on or around heavy machinery.

Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
  • High school diploma/GED
  • Ability to read and write English (in Quebec, must read and write French)
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 70 lbs. for 100 feet
  • Ability to perform basic math skills
  • Previous forklift experience
  • Must be able to sit for long periods of time and perform bending, twisting, squatting, reaching and grasping motions
  • Safety Mindset
Preferred Requirements:
  • Use of handheld measuring tools
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge, such as with database programs and Microsoft Office programs.
