Job description

QIC Corp FedEx Delivery Driver: Full-Time or Part-Time position
*Day Shifts only* *Home for Dinner! *
*Starting pay is $20–$21 per hour or a daily rate.
-Deliver independently (solo), a wide variety of packages to businesses and residential homes, in Western Shawnee & Lenexa, in a FedEx vehicle.

  • Schedule allows you to be home for dinner.
  • This is a fast paced position that requires strong self initiative.
  • Use a GPS system, deliver packages, follow all safety and DOT regulations, and maintain on time performance. We do not micromanage.
  • A typical day starts between 7:30–8:00 AM with a pre trip inspection, along with organizing your truck for efficient delivery. FedEx loaders load packages with the assistance of the driver, to maximize the positive daily outcome.
  • Once released, you will drive to your delivery area in Western Shawnee and Lenexa to complete package deliveries. Packages vary in size and weight, from small items up to a maximum150 lbs. Dollies and team assistance are available for heavier or awkward items.
  • This is an active, physical job that involves lifting, bending, and moving quickly in KS weather.
  • At the end of the day, you return your truck to the station. Routes are planned to finish by 5:00–5:30 PM, with the potential to finish earlier based on efficiency and ambition.
Qualifications:
  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License (no CDL required)
  • Must pass a background check, drug test (no MJ, nor MJ prescriptions), and DOT physical — all employer paid
  • No DUI, nor felony convictions.
  • Must meet FMCSA requirements to read, speak, and understand English well enough to converse with the public, understand highway signs and signals, and respond to official inquiries (49 C.F.R. 391.11(b)(2))
  • Day shift only.  
  • Must be able to work both Saturday and Sunday, or at least one of them on a consistent weekly basis.
  • Paid Training included
  • Must be reliable, committed to long-term growth (2+ years of growth), and professional communication. Requires sound decision making, a positive attitude, and the ability to word independently with strong self initiative.
