In a suburban or urban setting, a mailman delivers mail via a truck or by foot, depending on the size of their route. Some mail carriers also help clerks or sorters to sort mail before delivery.

These abilities are crucial for efficient mail distribution, customer satisfaction, and maintaining the reputation of the postal service.
