With more than 9,000 locations in 31 states, Hunt Brothers® Pizza is the nation's largest brand of made-to-order pizza in the convenience store industry.
Pizza Wholesale of Lexington is seeking ambitious, hard-working individuals for our Route Delivery Driver/ Area Assistant positions in Conover, NC. Known to us as Area Assistants, these individuals have the opportunity to interact with our valued customer partners by providing exceptional service from our warehouse by helping grow sales through regular promotions and developing positive relationships. Candidates applying for this position must have a clean MVR, be able to obtain a DOT Medical Card for a minimum of one year, and live within 60 minutes of the warehouse.
Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of this opportunity include but are not limited to:
  • Assisting the Account Manager in the unloading of product after other responsibilities are completed.
  • Taking ownership of each customer you service to ensure that you are being a blessing to them, greeting each with a smile.
  • Assisting in the installation of new accounts and sampling of stores.
  • The Area Assistant will be called on from time to time to service customers at the District Manager's discretion. These situations may include, but are not limited to the following scenarios: 1.) Assisting Account Manager's in running routes as needed in their absence. 2.) Servicing stores during Holiday periods. 3.) Servicing stores when both the Account Manager and the District Manager are not available.
  • Traveling to other districts to assist in running routes for an extended period, as needed.
  • Servicing stores in emergency situations as needed.
  • Checking voice mail and Hunt Brothers® email during business hours and periodically after hours.
  • Resolving problems within your abilities and communicate pertinent information (problems, challenges, etc.) to the appropriate team member.
  • Completing all necessary paperwork required in the timeframe established and sending to the appropriate departments accordingly. This includes all handheld operations and procedures.
  • Assisting other team members in keeping warehouse clean and organized.
  • If necessary, making bank deposits for all monies collected on the same day of collection.
  • Some overnight travel is required.

Qualifications:
Position Qualifications:
  • High School diploma.
  • Demonstrated customer service ability.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficient computer skills preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Professional image and entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Licenses, certification, or registrations required for this position:
  • DOT Medical Card with minimum one-year certification.
  • Valid operator's license with safe driving record.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.

Physical Demands:
  • Must be able to lift and bend up to 60% of daily work hours.
  • Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.
  • Must be able to drive a 26,000 lb. GVW truck extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to step up into and off of back of truck, 3 feet from ground, repeatedly throughout a day.
  • Must be able to deliver product by hand truck; product load can weigh up to 500 lbs.

This is a position that requires "knock your socks off" service as well as the ability to travel between the districts and interact with our customers in the Convenience store Industry. Some overnight travel may be required with this position.
