Macquarie Asset Management is searching for an Associate General Counsel to work in its Credit & Insurance business, covering credit BDCs, โ€™40 act funds, private credit funds, and retail alts to wealth products.

What role will you play?

As Associate General Counsel, you will support fundraising and fund establishment for the Credit & Insurance business as it grows in the US. You will work on US registered and unregistered investment companies, including BDCs, fund formation and registration, regulatory filings, product development, board support, governance, marketing review, fund agreements, and special projects. Additionally, you will work on private credit funds and handle general corporate matters along with other special projects.

Salary range: $250,000 - $350,000/year. Actual salary may vary based on experience, performance, and location. You may also be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive. Further details on benefits are listed below.

What you offer
  • 8+ yearsโ€™ legal experience in investment management.
  • Deep knowledge of the Investment Company Act of 1940, US federal securities laws, and the financial services industry, preferably with BDCs or regulated investment companies, and liquid alternative products.

  • Strong communication skills, capable of interfacing with C-level executives and department heads.
