Job description

  • Responsible for the inventory control of items maintained in the tool crib.
  • Maintains the tool room in a neat and orderly manner.
  • Assist operators and co-workers with tooling needs and provide information to new employees regarding tooling and supplies.
  • Issue tool and supplies to the production personnel; returns tooling to assigned tool crib location.
  • Purchase and stock tooling and supplies.
  • Re-stocks the tooling dispensing machines daily or as needed.
  • Need to properly care for the tools in the crib and ensure they are ready for use when needed.
  • Pre-Set tooling and special gauge in an accurate and efficient manner.
  • Position the required set-up tooling for Turning/Milling operations at the machine so that the next job would be ready to run immediately.
  • Practice good housekeeping in assigned areas and properly dispose of waste according to safety and environmental policies.
  • Promptly report any operational problems or safety issues with machine, tools, or equipment to supervisory personnel.
  • Conduct inventory count of workstations.
  • Conduct inventory cycle counts of tool crib inventories, as scheduled.
  • Correct any inventory deficiencies or discrepancies.
  • Checks boxes and verify packing slips.
  • Additional functions as delegated by supervisory personnel.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Capability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Education and /or experience; high school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2 – 4 years work experience or related work experience required.
  • Must have computer skills and experience in Word & Excel.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Cooperating with supervision and fellow employees.
  • Motivated self starter.
  • Enjoy working in a team environment as well as independently with little supervision.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident.
