Position Summary
Under general supervision, sets up and operates standard milling machines, lathes, electric welding machines, sheet metal equipment, woodworking equipment, and other machine tools as directed in the support of research and development activities. Assists in the design and fabrication of fixtures, tooling, and experimental parts to meet special scientific needs. Assists faculty and students with research and design projects. Teach the design sequence classes.

  • Successful candidate must submit to post-offer, pre-employment physical examination and medical history check.

Minimum Qualifications
Technical certificate, or equivalent coursework or training in a directly related area; at least 6 months of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
